This document serves as the authoritative public declaration for platform reviewers assessing BookHaven's Google Play Console Data Safety questionnaire and Apple App Store Nutrition Labels.
1. Google Play Console Data Safety Answers

2. Apple App Store Nutrition Labels
For submission in Apple App Store Connect under App Privacy:
- Data Used to Track You: None. Zero tracking across apps and websites.
- Data Linked to You: None. No user accounts or identity identifiers.
- Data Not Linked to You: None. No telemetry is collected by BookHaven.
3. On-Device Encryption & Isolation Architecture
BookHaven relies on native operating system sandbox architecture:
- SQLite Database:
booknest_library.dbis saved in the app's sandboxed private internal files directory, unreachable by other third-party apps on non-rooted devices. - API Key Storage: User-supplied AI keys (Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek) are stored using hardware-backed encryption keys via Android KeyStore and iOS Keychain.
4. Data Deletion Verification
BookHaven provides immediate and complete user-controlled erasure:
- Individual Document Deletion: Removing a book permanently removes the associated file, chapter index cache, highlights, and bookmarks.
- Total System Purge: Operating system settings → Apps → BookHaven → "Clear All Data" irreversibly destroys the database and sandboxed folders.
